Life Beyond Labels
In my main keynote talk, I will share how we can appreciate others, and ourselves, for who we are beyond performance and titles. We all have things that externally define us: a job title, a role, or an achievement. What we do matters, of course, but who we are as human beings comes first. I hope to share my story of how my time as an athlete and overcoming a head injury led me to adopt this life-altering perspective and how it can change your life too. While we all have different stories and experiences, so many of us have, or will, experience major life changes that force us to rebuild our identities throughout life.
This talk has been delivered to college students, high school students, athletes, educators, women’s clubs, individuals who have experienced head injuries, business professionals and many others. This talk is for people of all ages and all walks of life and is personalized to connect with each audience.

Similar to my main keynote, “Life Beyond Labels,” I share my story as it relates specifically to leadership. Leadership isn’t just about qualifications, but qualities. I believe great leaders create safe spaces for new ideas and foster leadership in those around them by seeing others, and themselves, beyond performance.

Full Testimony
The first time I gave my life to Jesus, it was one, significant moment. God aligned all of the stars and made my dreams come true after I trusted Him, so I thought that I would blissfully live the rest of my life with unwavering faith. Until I lost my community, identity, and sport after suffering a traumatic brain injury. As I struggled to figure out what it all meant, I reconnected with God a second time - separate from circumstance. I hope to share this authentic testimony of faith and how to keep trusting God even when it feels like He is so far away.
My Faith
The inspiration behind my original speech and discussion of identity is my faith in Jesus. Each and every opportunity I get to share the story He have me is a gift an a blessing. Seeing myself, and others, beyond labels came from feeling God’s love immensely during a time when I had no performance to offer. Because my main keynote is fully inspired by my faith, it can be delivered in a way that keeps faith at the center of the talk.
